This scroll saw stand can be customized to fit other saws as well. Below are some of the features that I incorporated into the saw:
- Added casters so I can move it around and even take it outside on nice days.
- On-board storage allows for a place to keep scroll saw accessories and blades in the top bin, and the larger bin at the bottom can be used for cut-offs and scrap.
- The stand has a small footprint and is 25" tall, but can be customized with risers to make the saw tilt forward to reduce neck strain.

Cool stand! I'd make one but too broke to buy wood right now. Still have lots of pallet wood, though. I'm already formulating adjustable height in my head.
ReplyDeleteI think this would look cool out of pallet wood. I thought about putting a hinge under the front and having an adjustment notch or holes at the back. Then I thought that I would just set it once and forget it, or not really need to adjust it more than a few degrees so I didn't do it. Good idea for a saw that multiple people might use though.

DeleteVery nice stand, Steve. The only thing that you might want to modify for is an on/off foot pedal switch. Much easier to scrollsaw with it than having to move your hand off the workpiece to turn the machine on and off.

DeleteHi Steve, just watched you great idea for a scroll saw stand as I am just getting into scroll saw work I too made one and I also just made a mobile stand in March but mine has a built in seat, do you not think this is an idea you might consider as you add weight to the stand and thus help remove vibration! here's a link to mine for your interest
